I am a researcher at the University of Washington in the Industrial and Systems Engineering department, leading research on privacy and surveillance in education technology with a focus on design solutions. In my free time I ski, snowboard, go to Seattle Reign games, and hunt morels (as pictured).

I defended my dissertation in July of 2026 and am on the academic job market.

My first publication in the privacy field was presented at CHI 2024. It offers novel insights into the concerns of students using a learning management system. The paper can be found here: https://dl.acm.org/doi/10.1145/3613904.3642914.

I received the GRFP in 2023, an NSF program that supports promising doctoral students.
